If you have ascertained that the door is closed properly, and that the door handle does not feel floppy or weak, then chances are it could be faulty module, as this supplies power to the door lock.

It happened on our machine. The soloution to this for me was to take the lid off (two screws). Unplugged from mains. I found the connector to the door had vibrated off and was just hanging loose. Plugged it back in and it worked straight away. Door opens as normal.
Don't forget to look in the manual for how to get the door open in an emergency.

My tub will not spin on my GE washer and there is a red flashing light on the circuit board

The red flashing light on the circuit board of a GE washer is often an indication of an error code or fault. The error code can help diagnose the issue. Here are some common causes of a GE washer not spinning and a red flashing light on the circuit board:
  1. Door lock error: Ensure the door is securely closed and latched.
  2. Drive belt issues: Check if the drive belt is broken, stretched, or has come off the pulley.
  3. Motor issues: The motor may have failed or the wiring may have come loose.
  4. Central control unit (CCU) issues: The CCU may have failed and will need to be replaced.
If you are unable to diagnose the issue, it is recommended to have a professional technician diagnose and repair the problem as it may require technical skills and specialized tools.

Whirlpool AWM 6100/s Front load washer

Sounds like the front door switch has come out of place, or the actuator is out of place. If you can take the front cover off to get to this switch, you should be able to get it back into place pretty easily. Hope this helps, chad

Machine has stopped mid wash, wash light is flashing, door locked shut

Your washer can't drain. It is holding your laundry so you can not open the door and cause the water to flood you floor. This is a safety precaution that most manufacturers have in place. You did not leave a model number so I am unable to give you further instructions. Good luck, I am here for your assistance.

LG WM1814CW Front load Washer dE error? I get the dE error everytime I push the start button. The door wont open or close. I can hear the latch moving inside but nothing will happen. The "Door...

Hello,

A dE error code indicates that the washer door was unable to lock. This can normally be resolved by performing a simple reset on the washing machine.
How to reset the washing machine:
1.
Press POWER to turn the washer off.
2.
Unplug the washer from the power outlet or turn the circuit breaker to the unit off.
3.
With the power disabled, press and hold the START/PAUSE button for 5 seconds.
4.
Plug the washer back in, or turn the circuit breaker back on.
5.
For more information about how to reset your specific model, please refer to the owner's manual.
Press in on the door firmly and select any cycle. The washer door should lock, and the cycle should begin without an error code appearing on the display. If the cycle does not begin and the dE code appears again, repair service is required.
