Washer wobbles terribly at high spin cycle. Its legs ARE BALANCED, this just started happening one day. The geek squad replaced the 4 shocks and it still wobbles like crazy.I had my warranty company sen out someone from Appliances Unlimited and all he managed to do was rip my vinyl floor and call LG. They told him I should take the washer off the pedestal. And it was left at that. The guy said there's nothing more he can do. Please point me in the right direction!

I have this same problem and I have had two different repairmen out and they can't seem to fix mine either. We shouldn't have to set it on the floor and not on the pedestaly. Mine just started doing the vibrating to the point it sounds like it will fall off the pedestal. There has to be something that can be done or maybe they should just do away with the washer . Please somebody do something for us that have that problem.

The washer requires a structurally sound floor for shake-free operation. anything other than a cement/concrete slab will shake. even on a tile floor there is slight shaking. a vinyl over plywood floor just won't cut it. a pedistal makes matters worse; as you're bringing the center of gravity up and away from floor.

On the spin cycle my samsung front load washer wibbles and vibrates badly. I have replaced the shocks but that didn't work. What else could it be?

Check that it is level and that all the water is draining out when the wash cycle is complete. Check that the wash drum and all associated parts are correctly in place and are secure. Check the drum for excessive play, replace defective parts.
Also look for loose objects from clothing that may be jammed out of site but causing centrifugal throwout vibration.

The tub continues to go off balance in spin cycle. Starts out smooth then starts to wobble terribly til the UL shows and shuts down. Support rods are good

There is a little device inside the washer that allows the agitator to spin independent of the drum. If this gets stuck, the washer will try to spin the whole drum instead of just the agitator. This will cause the washer to think the load is too large or out of balance, causing the error code. On some Whirlpools this device is just a washer.

My top load Bravos washing machine wobbles during spin cycle.

Most likely suspension rods and bushings need replacing. Also check outer tub ring. Sometimes it will break from beating on sides of washer, behind where water comes out.

My washing machine makes a loud thumping noise when it goes on a high spin cycle, especially when the load is large. The problem started to become worse once I reconected a shock that was not connected...

Hello,
The biggest problem with front loaders is leveling. Be sure it is sitting level. Use a lever and not your eye to level the machine. Be sure to use the lock nuts on the leveling legs. Also, these machines are very heavy and need to be on a really solid hard surface. Hope this does it for you.

Rocks while in spin cycle

Hi, I believe the cause of your washing machine's "rocking" problem is the result of the machine not being properly balanced (on all four legs). Let me explain. On the bottom of your washer and dryer, are four "adjustable" legs. These legs screw up or screw down. If you adjust these four legs so that the washer is perfectly square with your floor, your rocking problem will go away. This should do the trick. Good Luck!

Maytag washing machine wobbles when spinning. Legs are level so is problem inside?

Check the suspending springs inside. These are attached to to the drum jacket. If the springs are OK check whether the drum is wobbling. Turn by hand and check. Check ball bearings last!!!

Wm 2487H. My machine is off balance and shake the house terribly bad. It also has a metalic scraping sound sometimes when the drum spins. I just purchased my LG washer and dryer a couple of months ago. I...

Starting in November 2008--LG introduced "square door" model washers.
These washers will (unlike round door models) perform very well on wood floors.
If the WM2487 washer is on a wood floor--even a tiled wood floor--it will be near impossible to get smooth spin performance.
Some homeowners have had success by adding two layers of 3/4 inch wood under the washer AND dryer.
The following steps were taken:
1) Remove washer & dryer
2) Cut & remove any floor covering (bare wood)
3) Locate floor joists with a stud-finder & mark locations at the edge of the flooring--allows finding the joist locations after 3/4 sheet is laid to floor.
4) Add wood glue to floor
5) Place 3/4 inch wood sheet to floor & drive screws thru wood into joists (as many scews as deemed necessary to fully & completely compress wood sheet to existing floor
6) Add wood glue to 1st wood sheet
7) Place 2nd 3/4 inch wood sheet on top of 1st wood layer and drive screws into floor joists.
8) Add molding if desired
9) Re-install washer & dryer and level.
10) Add one heavy towel into washer tub & close door ( this will mimick an off-center load)
11) Press power "on" button
12) Press "Spin Speed" button & select high speed spin option
13) Press "Start" button
14) When * 9 minutes remaining * is displayed--use the flat wrenchette that comes with every LG washer to "tweak" the adjustment of the front leveling legs. This will allow for "fine tuning" adjustment of the front leveling leg(s) to eliminate vibration / noise during the spin cycle. The rear leveling legs DO NOT need further adjustment.
NOTE: Those with pedestals--check the front leveling legs on the washer and on the pedestals (front only) during spin.

Washer leaks during spin cycle

If the machine is leaking then the bolt on the drum need to be tightened. you can acces them by removing the top or rear cover of the machine. If the machine is wobbling it need to be leveled or a shock absorber or spring connected to the drum has come loose or needs to be replaced
