Change the CPU for lower heat performance CPU.
For example the AMD Turions are 35Watt, you can install AMD TK-42 which is 20 Watt only. This model can`t handle CPU over 31 watt without problem. The gum rubbers are too small, the air-in hole is small too.
This model designed for eskimos to use it on 0 Celsius .
Avoid HP repair centre, they won`t solve this problem, already screwed at planing.

Likely the fan is still running but the cooling fins are full of lint or anumal hair or just plain dust. At this point you want to be careful just blowing it out with canned air because lint and dust that has built up can jam the fan if blown loose. It also really depends on the fan and cooling fin configuration of which I am not familiar on this particular board. To be safe and to make sure everything else stays clean you may need to dissasemble the laptop to clean it. Some very fragile components in there so be veeery veerrry careful.

If the laptop appears to boot up but the LCD screen is black, then the problem is a back-light fault caused by either a faulty inverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to determine the fault and fix :-

Hi

Thank you for your query

Please try the folowing

1) Remove ALL wires and then press and hold the power button in for approx 20 seconds

2) Plug everything back in and then rerty

This may sort the issue out however from what you are descrbing, if there is no boot or display it is highly likely the motherboard and/or the CPU is faulty

I would recommend that you book the PC into a reputable PC repair shop if the above does not work
