You need to use OHMS and disconnect wiring. If reading is varying replace it.

amp meters are wired in series in a power circuit
that is to say cut the wire and attach each end of the wire to the terminals of the amp meter
you have to know the amps in the circuit to get an amp meter large enough to read the current or it will burn out
( a 60 amp meter for a 120 amp power wire is not right)
in that case you can get an amp meter that runs a resistance in the back of the unit and as volts and amps are directly related by reading the voltage drop across the resistance the current (amps) can be read
That allows a small amp meter with a high face reading to be attached to a large current wire 10000 amps etc
you can also get amp meters that have a crab claw clip that goes around the power wire and by reading the flux field voltage converts that to an amp reading without touching the wire ( used by electricians to check current draw in electrical motors etc )

Suspect throttle positioning sensor (TPS)...can be tested...need a meter set to read 5 volts DC...Tps is located on throttle body...it has a three wire connector with wire colors: Brown/Orange...Dark Blue/Dark Green...And Pink/Yellow...Engine off...Push points of safety pins deep into into rear of in place connector PLUS METER LEAD on Brown/Orange wire and NEGATIVE METER LEAD into DarkBlue/DarkGreen...Set meter to read 5 volts...Start engine...At idle (Yes, I know it is running rough) then read meter...RECORD READING...Next rev engine to full throttle...RECORD READING...First reading must be .08 volts...Second must be 4.5 volts...If second reading is less than 3 volts...example 2.4volts TPS is culprit...Replace TPS...all readings OK? Standing wave ratio is standing wave ratio. This meter is not reading based on frequency. It is reading based on the measurement of electrical energy. I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

Simply press and hold the copy mode then you get the meter reading and toner percentage status

An SWR meter is used to see how well your antenna is matched to your transmitter output, just like using the correct speakers with an amplifier.

There are usually two readings. FORWARD and REFLECT
or FWD and REFL

Firstly, make sure the antenna selector is in the correct position and set for the antenna you are using.

Next, switch your meter to FWD (FORWARD). Switch your transmitter to low power and press the microphone key.

Next, adjust the CAL knob for the maximum power reading, but not so far that the meter exceeds maximum!

Keep the microphone key pressed and switch to REFL (REFLECT). If your antenna is matched, the meter should now give a low reading. If the reading is very high, you must match your antenna by making adjustments or by using a matching unit.

A poor match will mean a poor signal. A very poor match can damage your transmitter and cause interference.

When you have a good FORWARD reading and a low REFLECT reading, your system will be reasonably matched and you can then use higher power. Remember that you will need to reduce the CAL knob to a lower setting when running high power.
