Approx. 5yrs old. Thought I had a place for a memory card. Bought a Sony digital camera. Help!

You can buy a memory card reader (at Amazon.com or ebay.com) and it will have a usb plug. Simply put memory card into reader and plug into computer.

It will work as I just said, but ''technically'' you plug in the reader first into the computer, and _then_ insert the memory card into the reader. (but it will work if the memory card is already in the reader before plugging it in).

You can buy a simple one that only reads the specific memory card you have, or you can buy one that reads ''multi'' different type memory cards.

I have a Quantaray SD card reader, I put a SD card in it and it doesn't work. I guess I need a driver or software in my Windows 7

Are you sure it's an SD card? If it's larger than 2GB then it's actually an SDHC card and won't work in devices designed only for SD cards.

Acer aspire t 180 cant get pc to recognize digital camera photo memory card

Has the computer recognized the memory card in the past? If so, try download and reinstalling the memory card driver.

Get online and got to www.google.com In the google search box type: "Acer Support" (without the quotes and put your manufacturer name before Support). Look for downloads and drivers. Enter your model number and operating system when requested. Download and install the Card Reader drivers.

If after installing the drivers the reader still does not work, you can purchase a multi format card reader that will plug into you usb port from Tiger Direct for less than $15. at

http://www.tigerdirect.com

When the site comes up just put in the search at the top "SD Card Reader or XD Card Reader" depending you your type and press GO. You can sort the returned results by Price Low to High.

Do you have a USB Cable that came with the camera that you can plug into one of the usb ports on the computer? If so, try that. It's another way of getting pictures off the camera. Plug the cable on the camera and into the computer then turn the camera on. The computer will recognize the camera and install the drivers. You can navigate through the camera folders just like you do any other device to find the pictures.

I just bought a sandisk mobilemate micro memory card reader and don't know how to connect it with my droid and computer

You take the memory card out of the Droid, you put it in the card reader, you plug the card reader in an USB socket of the pc and you open Computer - it will appear in there as a Removable media. Now you can use it as just another drive.
Once you are done click on the Remove safely icon in the Notification area of the Taskbar then select the card reader and take it out. Then take the card out and put it in the Droid,

Is there and sd card slot anywhere????

I believe SD card readers plug into the usb, the sd card then plugs into the reader to read.
A permanent sd card slot can be installed in the small floppy disc tray and plugged into the mobo.
But the sd usb option is bone cheap.

I lost the computer chord so i am trying to put the memory card into my computer to upload the pictures and nothing is showing up, what do i do?

You may need to install the USB card reader software on the PC. Frankly if you are having difficulty with this it might be better to shell out a few pound/dollars on a card reader and plug that (with the card plugged in) into a spare USB port on the PC.

Internal USB connector

You did not have to unplug the onboard USB ports.
Your OS should see the card reader and set it up, unless you are using Win98 or WinME. I would plug the onboard USB ports, then restart with the new internal card installed.

Imstalling internal card reader

Well, installing an internal card reader without a spot on the motherboard, is a little hard to do. I would suggest buying an external card reader. They are a little cheaper, and a lot easier to setup and use, since they just connect to a USB port which all computers have.

Mikomi card reader

you may have to check the manufacturers website for a vista compatible driver (as it seems that the generic driver is not working here.)
