I work on biomedical equipment and sounds like there may be a problem with the inverter board that drives the backlights. i have the same problem with the one i have. turn on tv, after a few minutes picture goes black, but still have sound. red light blinks 5 times,turn set off same thing happens when you turn set back on. some times it want do it for 10 min.
