The 2 second beat is a visual indication the battery is nearing its life cycle.

Not uncommon for these batteries to be on the shelf for a long time.

Always test before install.

Hope this tip helps.

My echodrive second hand skips 2 seconds the skips 1 second 2 tim

For sure you know EcoDrive watches are powered by light and all advertisements says: you will never have to change the battery. That's right - you will never have to change the battery, because there is no battery as we know. In your watch you have CAPACITOR, and it is the cell (sort of battery), recharging itself from the light consuming plate underneath the dial. Capacitor is not timeless, so, you have to replace it anyway. Find your nearest watch repair shop and ask for replacement.

Wenger watch second hand pauses and skips ahead 4 seconds, it's keeping time find. Seems to just have started.

That is a low battery indicator. It will do that until the battery is replaced or is dead. When it does that it means its time to change the battery.

Second hand skips

This is warning: it's time to change the battery. Your watch is fitted with EOL (end of life) feature and this is how the low battery power is displayed. However, the watch will keep running correctly for about two weeks.

This is the tried and tested solution from this very nice gentleman. Many thanks to him (Ha Bi):
  1. Press and hold on to the T button until it beeps
  2. Touch the middle of the screen to change digital display to unit selection
  3. Press and hold the T-button until "Synchronize" comes up in the digital display
  4. Use the + button and - button to align the hour and minute hand to 12:00.
  5. Click on the T-button again. Congrats, you're done!

Yes it's the battery. Please make sure to take it to someone QUALIFIED This watch requires that all the gaskets be replaced and pressure tested at the time you have the battery replaced

The 'meteo' function doesn't work when I press the watch face.

This seems to ba a common problem. On mine both the Meteo and Altimeter stoped working. Apparently these watches have a fault with the water proofing and should not be worn in water!
