If you are using a cable box, there should be a setting to change your "aspect ratio". Some offer options such as fit to screen, zoom, wide, etc. see if you can change this setting from the remote. Without knowing what model cable box you have I acn't get more qpecific, but try this first.
Movies are shown at a higher resolution than games. That is why the picture is smaller with games than movies. If you turn the Auto Picture Size off, you can set lower grade video to a larger screen size but you will lose quality. Hope that helps.
The board that is burned - most likely the power board. The exact part number for it is printed directly on it. Use the number to order it at the dealer.
Hello
There are Horizontal and Vertical size controls behind the back cover that need to be adjusted using a hand held tool. This adjustment requires a trained tech. High Voltage from the set is dangerous.
However, there maybe some limited controls that may help through the on screen menu.
To get into the setup menu, you need the original Remote that came with the TV.
Hold the Menu Key down until a box appears in the corner of the screen, then press 9,8,7,6 Enter. this takes you to the service menu. Just scroll through the items to find Horiz Size and Vert Size.
Good luck
The issue your having is aspect ratio. Some programs and commercials are broadcasting in a higher resolution so some fill the screen and some have black bars top and bottom. I suggest searching "aspect ratio for video". It would take me all night to type it out. But you need to know how the different resolutions change the size of your image. Also in the TV's menu you should see an aspect ratio option. Try the different settings to see if you can find the best.
Hello! You need to put your tv into service mode and adjust the horizontal and vertical size. You can find info on how to enter the service mode for some brands at epanorama.net. Good luck.
