Turn off the IPP protocol, and turn off Multicast IPV4

The 49.xxxx errors are indeed related to firmware and the formatter and can indicate faulty firmware or formatter... but are almost always triggered by some kind of communication that the machine doesn't know what to do with... thus generating an error.

Power fluctuations (not clean power), or random noise (RFI/static) transmitted on network or printer cables can also cause this problem. If your unit sits on a line of power that is shared with other devices (another printer/copier or a group of computers or a vending machine or cooler)... move it to a dedicated power outlet.

If it's caused by signals the machine is receiving, it can be tricky to correct.

Some complicated printer errors can be triggered by more than one thing. Printer error code "49.4c02" is one of them. It occurs when there is corrupted data. This may confuse the printer, and it stops functioning. In other cases, the data is corrupted while being transferred to the printer. Some printer models are naturally prone to this error because of their driver, while others can display this error while printing a specific font.
Printer error code 49.4c02 may be caused due to the following:

* Corrupted or big size print queue
* Hardware problems
* Faulty memory storage

Well I was having the same problem. I cleaned out the queue by canceling the job that it was having the problem with. Turns out the data being sent to the printer was corrupt in this case.

LaserJet 4350 Printer: 49.2f02 service error on hp 4100 printer...

Turn the printer off for a few minutes and then back on. If that does not fix the problem, try to have the print queue cleared and tray again. Most of the time it's a PDF file that causes this problem. If that does not fix it, it may need a new Jetdirect card.
