The F1 code means : Electronic oven control failure. Solution: Replace electronic oven control (also called EOC or clock).
316207527 - CLOCK
316220805 - OVERLAY
expect to pay between $155 to $199 for the control plus labor, etc unless your attempting this yourself.
We replace the overlay along with the control as it usually does not peal off without a fight and tears.
best of luck, and have fun,
ttfn

Kenmore elite dual fuel range model # 790.75503- My power was cut off and since my oven won't heat (display shows on, but doesn't heat - stays at 100 degees) - also my burners won't ignite (unless I t

It could possibly be you are not getting 240 volts to the range. The top igniter may be getting a current back through the other side of the 240 circuit and that is why it works when the oven is turned on but the oven will not be getting power to heat. Have the 240 circuit checked or make sure the circuit breakers are reset correctly.

Turned oven on to 350. the igniter got red but did not heat up the oven.

Good Morning Jim, I understand that your gas range is inoperable. Let's try reprogramming the unit by either flipping the household circuit breaker off or unplugging it. While the unit is turn OFF; confirm that the shut-off valve on the gas pressure regulator is in the "ON" position (usually located on the back left-hand side of the range). This valve shuts off gas to the oven. Then you may turn the appliance on. If the steps do not correct the issue, your range could be experiencing a communication error with the EOC (electronic oven control), a potential wiring failure, faulty bake or broiler element or power supply. I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose the appliance to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. If you do not know a professional technician, manufacturer websites often have service provider locators' onsite to assist you in that regard. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reconnect!

My kenmore elite stove model#790 the oven and broiler do not heat up but the fan runs

Since none of the burners or elements will heat, I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the range. Your symptoms point to a voltage supply problem. The range should have a double breaker (the two circuit breakers are probably connected together with a metal clip). The range clock control will light up if only one leg (L1) of that power supply is provided to the range. If the second leg of power (L2) is missing, then none of the burners or oven elements will heat. You could have a problem with the circuit breakers or the wiring on the terminal block at the back of the range. With the breakers shut off , I recommend that you pull the range out and check the wiring on that terminal block. Based on your description, you may find a loose connection or burnt wiring in that area. The image below shows wiring information for the terminal block and the junction box for the range. This information should help you check that issue. If you can find a wiring failure and restore a proper voltage supply to the range, then the stove top burners and oven elements should heat properly. If you find no problems with the wiring, then you could have a bad circuit breaker or a problem with the house voltage supply for the range. An electrician will normally need to diagnose and repair that type of failure. I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details. If you need parts, you can order them from the Sears PartsDirect website. If you get to a point where you need to have a service technician repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

wait 1 minute.
turn the range back on,
then while holding in on the oven door.

Oven only works at max temp

The oven temp switch should be replaced.
This switch has a long tube which goes from the switch to the inside of the oven. The switch can be replace without much of a problem but, feeding the new tube down to the oven can be tricky sometimes. The old tube will come out but you have to find the same hole to put the new tube back through, sometimes this will go through insulation and you can't see the hole where the old tube came out. It's not hard to do just be aware of this problem.

Oven shut down

hi If the range or oven is receiving power but doesn't work, the unit may have its own fuse or circuit breaker assembly. This assembly is usually located under the cooktop of the range. In some units, lift the top of the range to gain access to the fuse assembly; or lift the elements, remove the drip pans, and look on the sides of the cabinets. Inside the oven, look to the back to spot the fuse assembly.

If the unit has this additional fuse or breaker system, components such as the oven light, the range heating elements, the timer, and a self-cleaning feature may be separately fused.
If these components or features fail to work, don't overlook the possibility that the fuses have blown. To replace a blown fuse, unscrew the old fuse and install a new one of the same type and electrical rating. If the unit has circuit breakers, push the breaker or reset button, which is usually located on the control panel.

My oven turns off on me after only a minute never heating up fully

Could be caused by either of following;

1. Faulty thermostat.
2. Faulty thermal cut out switch. (controls power to cooling fan).
3. Faulty cooling fan (not fan inside oven).

Test thermostat by setting thermostat to low temperature like 60 oC. If oven gets much hotter then its a faulty thermostat.
To test cooling fan and thermal switch take oven out and remove top or rear panels to expose components.
When oven gets hot the cooling fan should turn on. If it doesn't then check to see if there is a mains voltage present.
If mains current exist but fan is not turning then replace fan. If mains voltage is not present then its the thermal switch.
