Bunn GR10 Coffee Maker Logo

Our office is relocating and I need to prepare our Bunn coffee maker to be moved. It appears to be working fine now, but we do live in a hard-water area. So: - Obviously we will be unplugging it. Can it be emptied? If so, advice on how would be helpful. - If it can be emptied, the set up at the new location should be the same as initial set up (I have those directions.) If it can't be emptied, should we just plug it back in and wait for it to heat up? - It also will certainly need significant de-mineraling. Any advice besides using the de-scaler device [long spring-like thing]?

I work for BUNN. Yes, you can empty it - here's a link to instructions http://www.bunn.com/retail/service/faq.html#faq6

Also, it's absolutely a perfect time to do the Periodic Cleaning of your brewer - here's a link to instructions for using vinegar to thoroughly clean your brewer. http://www.bunn.com/retail/service/cleaning.html

If you want to move the brewer without draining, please be sure to unplug it and let the water cool for about 6 hours before moving it (the water inside is 200 degrees). Then, when you get to the new location you can just plug it in and let it heat up.

Any other questions, please let me know. [email protected]

I have a bunn coffee maker that takes over an hour to heat brew water.

Clean a Bunn coffee maker once every three months if you have hard water. ... Unplug the Bunn coffee maker from its power source. Verify the brew funnel is in place in the machine, and set the decanter in the unit as if you were going to make coffee. Add 1 quart of white distilled vinegar to the top of the brewer.

What is the best way to remove lime scale and other mineral build up from a Bunn VPR coffee maker? Water flow has been reduced to a trickle even though we used filtered water.

I always use CLR to clean my coffee maker. You don't need much more than 1/4 cup and mix with 8 cups of water and brew it like you would make a pot of coffee, then dump it out and run 2-3 more pots of just water, that should work fine. Also, run vinegar thru the machine once in awhile to help keep it clean

Remove sprayhead and pour water into tank until it flows from the brew tube, then replace sprayhead and brew coffee.

Bunn Coffee Maker Not Working

Tammy,

Plug the coffee maker in and fiIl with water again and let it flow through. Do this several times.

I don't think household bleach would cause any damage to the unit. Industrial bleach, yes, but not household, especially if diluted with water.

Let me know what you find.
