There is something known as NAT strict that can happen due to many reasons , NAT or network address translator helps in converting the WAN ip address to LAN side IP address or public to private ipaddress . In a case of NAT strict or no NAT type ur PS3 or the router to which you have connected the PS3 is not able to convert the IP address...
Solution: try logging on to the router manager or PS3 settings and enable the NAT ( it would be in a disabled state or DMZ ( de militarized zone ) state )....
If the nat is already enabled Then try to manually configure NAT by opening the port numbers on the router manager or PS3. Port numbers can of UP or TCP protocol depending upon the games ur tyring to play....
If u donno how u do it then contact sony or the people who gave u the router or ur ISP

I cant play online becouse of this a NATtype3 what dose this mean

Nat 3 is the result of being hooked into a router without being properly setup for data transfer. essentially it is restrictive.

There are 3 ways to change your Nat type to type 2 or 1. (Nat type 2 meaning that it is properly setup without restrictions behind a router, and Nat 1 being a direct connection to the Internet).

1.) Hook the PS3mag-glass_10x10.gif directly into the modem will result in a Nat type 1, but of course that means disconnecting everything but the ps3 and that's an unnecessary hassle.

2.) Going into the router settings and Port Forwarding the PS3's necessary ports to the Ps3's ip address.

3.) Probably the simplest (on most routers) and most effective is to go into the router and set the PS3's ip address in the DMZ (DeMilitarized Zone), essentially the router doesnt have any say from what comes and goes to the Ps3, which is good so the connection isn't hampered.

My nat type on my Playstation 3 is nat type 3 (strict). I would like to know what setting configuration on my WRT54GX router so that the nat type decreases.

Well this becuse of NAT on the router

you can solve the problem by putting your PS3's IP address on DMZ in the router

access your router page (type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar of internet explorer)

username would be admin and password would also be admin

go to the DMZ and enter the IP address of the PS3 there after enabling it....restart your PS3....bingo your problem solved

Note:- you can check your PS3 IP address in the network settings and connections option on PS3

Hope it helps

Thanks

I can't play online ps3 games

it could be what type of router are you using? Are you able to sign into the playstation network? You could try setting up a static ip address on your ps3 and setting it as a dmz server. This will open up all ports for your ps3 and should enable you to play games. It should be a workaround for upnp. If you tell me what router make and model your using i can tell you how to do this.

I CAN'T SIGN IN TO PLAY STAITION NETWORK ERROR CODE (80710092)

ERROR CODE (80710092) can mean incorrect password, incorrect user name or bad internet connection check your user name and password and if that doesn't work then disconnect your ps3 from the internet and then reconnect
