Yeah, read the manual. Oddly absolutely no reference to fonts at all in any context from the rf device. Shocking.

I would go with gopiford's solution.

We had the same problem with MC9090 and it has been resolved by installing the Wedge application as mentioned in the below URL.

Hi my MC9090-G wont power on.

On an MC9090, with the battery removed, hold both power and trigger down, then insert the battery, and keep holding both buttons down. Wait for the onscreen display.

Hello, I have symbol MC9090-K. I am trying to connect it to the WIFI. The device shows the access point but unable to get an IP address i check the status in IPv4 it shows 0.0.0.0 or it renews for few...

It appears you device can not gain access to you DHCP server to obtain an IP address.

Simple solution would be to assign a static IP and then test.

Do the intermec scanners obtain there IP address's vias DHCP?

How do I change the sleep timer settings on a Motorola MC9090

A - From the Windows Mobile user interface:

1. Tap Start (the Windows Logo), then Settings.
2. Tap the System tab.
3. Tap the Power icon.
4. Tap the Advanced tab.

You can change the number of minutes before power is turned off when on battery and when on external power from there. You can also uncheck the "Turn off device if not used for" check box to disable the timeout entirely.

B - From the registry (useful for deploying the setting as a .reg file to the device, in case you have many MC9090 guns you are supporting or you are wanting to set it to a value the user interface does not support):

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeouts]
"BattSuspendTimeout"=dword:00000000
"ACSuspendTimeout"=dword:00000000

The above values are in hex and represent the number of seconds before timing out when on battery or AC power. For example, to set the BattSuspendTimeout to 180 seconds, you would set it to dword:000000B4. To disable it entirely (the equivalent of unchecking the checkbox in the user interface), set the value to 0.
