Raise the main drain hose to the top of the back control head. there may be a problem with the main hose being to low and the water is gravity siphoning out of the washer.make sure the washer is off when you lift the hose up but do not remove it from the wall, you should here water drain out once it has stopped draining restart you machine and it should fill to the proper level and quit then go into your wash cycle

Machine worked fine to start with . Then stopped. Will fill water but drum wont turn on a wash cycle. And wont spin on spin cycle. But Belt seems fine. Can you help.

The pump needs to be replaced. The pump controls the agitation for the wash cycle, also controls the tub for draining & spinning after the wash & rinse cycle. The belt has nothing to do with it. Pump is very simple to remove & replace, and not too expensive, it's plastic.

My machine wont stop pumping water into it

check for a blocked hose to the pressure switch or a faulty pressure switch
this switch is controlled by water increasing the trapped air pressure on a diaphragm and when the setting on the wash size is reached , it closes of the inlet water solenoid and turns the machine to the next cycle.
if it does move to the next cycle then the solenoid stops on the water hoses are faulty and need to be replaced.

Washing machine wont spin

Maybe something is physically preventing the drum from spinning, causing the motor protection to kick in and stopping the machine.

I'd check this out as a first step before calling a repair man:
1) unplug the machine from mains
2) make room between the rubber gasket and the drum for your hand/arm to reach down into the bowels of the machine, in the compartment between the drum and the bowl (or whatever you call it). If you find something strange there, remove it.

I've done this on occasion and have found lots of obstructing objects that don't belong there. Most notably hardware from underwire bras I might add... :)

It is worth a try.

Good luck!

The drum wont hold water. it goes right out the draim

The drain needs to be above the actual water level or it will run out, the pvc should be above this point in order for the hose to get air and not act like trap and run out all that comes in,< woud suggest going to hardware store and getting piece to add on to 4 inch section with a coupler and washer drain cap>. they will cut to length, < take measurement of pipe size and length needed to get just bellow height of washer top, pvc goes together by cleaning and glueing, if the 4 inch piece has angle cut then it will have to be cut to strait line for good seal.

Zanussi washing machine wont spin

check the drain hole when you start the machine if the water is coming back out , if yes that means your dump valve is bad.

Indesit w113 washing machine

check heating element (rear of drum at the bottom) for open circuit, replace if needed, occasionally the timer will start to click round continuously, indicating the machine has a fault, the machine shuts down waiting for the water to heat up, elements available at most appliance shops but you may need to order specially?
