"F02" is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a "SUDS" error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France, Wed evening 21:20,

Sorry but the drain pump impeller blades should only go round and not wiggle on the drain motor shaft. It works in the same way as a fan for air but for water. It looks as if the pen has permanently damaged it and it really needs replacing. Have that done then see if the SUD and F02 continue- I would guess not.
Sorry.

Good luck,

Stops in cycle and says f 02

F02 error is related to drain pump block. If the drain pump gets blocked or the drain hose is blocked the error comes up,this is indication of cleaning the drain pump and drain hose.If the drain pump and drain hose checked ok then its faulty drain pump, its not draining the water so the error f-02 is showing up. error F-02 is a slow drain problem. Remove the wide tapering pipe from the drum to the pump. Inside there is a non return ball valve. Clean this and see if that helps. Take the front bottom panel off and open the drain trap, and see if there is any thing got stuck up,like coins, nails, socks or any small cloth etc etc.--------------While removing the drain pump and drain hose for cleaning, please keep thick towel with you.As you disconnect the drain pump from its connection, lot of water will flow towards you,if your machine is filled with water. So keeping this towel with you will help to control this water flow towards you. This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Keep getting f02 code and check all drain hoses and the pump for debris and the filter and still keeps getting the code and the pumps sounds like it is runnning or just humming

unplug the machine f02 is something is caught in your hose or your pump or your drain line F02" is a Long Drain error code. This is an indication that you may have an obstruction somewhere in the drainage system somewhere. In most cases this means there is a clog in the drain pump or inlet line running from the wash tub to the pump. There is a white screw off cap on the drain pump that you can remove to inspect the pump impeller and clean. The following link explains

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

Included is a follow-on link that explains how to check the drain pump to clean. You may also have to remove the inlet hose that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the drain pump. Debris and small articles of clothing can commonly clog in this area as well causing the drain cycle to fail.

NOTE: The "SUD" error code can often occur in conjunction with the "F02" error code. This is due to air being detected in the drainage system, which can occur if the pump is not running, or if you have an obstruction BEFORE the pump. You need to remove the inlet hose from the pump to ensure it is also not blocked. Correct your drainage system fault, and the SUD error should go away.
If you have any questions about this repair, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

If these preliminary measures do not correct your problem, you may have to replace the drain pump. It does not take much to damage the pump impeller or motor. Since the error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes, if the pump is damaged and can't pump at the required volume, the error code will continue to appear until the pump is replaced once again please message me back if you have any further questions and please remember to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again

"F02" is a Long Drain error. The error code is generated when the drain time exceeds 8 minutes. In most cases this means you need to clean out the trap on the drain pump. The following link explains the error and how you need to remedy the problem. There is a follow-on link included that explains how to access the drain pump and clean it: http://www.fixya.com/support/r615268-f02_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore If the error code reappears after you clean out the drain pump, you may need to replace the pump. If the pump motor or impeller is damaged and it is not pumping at the correct volume, the error code will continue until the pump is replaced.

A replacement pump (if needed) can be purchased at any of the following web sites:

searspartsdirect.com
appliancepartspros.com
pcappliancerepair.com
repairclinic.com

Use whatever part source you like, but I have found these sites to be the most reliable and offer competitive pricing.

If you have questions, or need additional assistance, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

F02 error on Kenmore front load, followed solution, problem still exist, What next?

cant see what you tried to repair problem (dont see original post) but F02 is a long drain time. or innaddaquate drain. usually from a clogged, drain pump/button trap. ill assume you were told to remove the lower access panel, gain acess to the drain pump assy, clean the "button trap" of foreign derbis. if thats been done and your still having draining issues iehter theres something i nthe drain hose, or perhaps the drain pump impeller has been damaged preventing proper flow of water.

Whirlpool Duet Washer-error code "sud"

Just take off the bottom kickplate (3 screws on the bottom). You'll see the pump front and center. Twist the front face of the pum slowly to the left. All the trapped water will flow right out towards you. There could be a sock or some other debris there. Unclog, screw that faceplate back in and start it up.
