Follow the same steps to enter a code but instead of entering code press the channel up button repeatedly until it turns the tv channel and when it changes (dont press up again or else you will have to do it over again). When you get the remote to change channel STOP! and press the enter/ok, or similar button to lock the code in and you should be set. Good luck. If you follow the steps and it doesnt work the first couple of times dont be discouraged, Trust me all universal remotes allow you to set up you universal remote this way i guess they already know people lose the universal remotes instruction manual with all the codes in it! there may be a problem with the tvs remote sensor. most universal remotes you dont even have to enter any codes you just have to follow the same steps to enter the code but instead of entering a code all you have to do is press the channel up button after following all other steps, just keep pressing up until it turns the channel on the tv then press enter or similar button after it changes the channel and this should lock in the code without entering a specific code.And if all other remotes only half the buttons work on if it happens with every universal remotes then it probably a problem with the remote sensor or the tv . The proceedings are:-

Direct Code Entry

button (TV, VCR, etc.). The red

indicator blinks, then stays lit.

3. Enter the 4 digit code from the code

tables. Note: after a valid code entry,

the red indicator turns off. For an

invalid code, the red indicator

flashes.

4. With your device on, press

CHANNEL UP. If the device

responds, no further programming is

required. Note: If some buttons do

not operate your device, try one of
the other codes for your brand.

I enter the menu button, channel, add, and it begin to add the channels for cable.

On your dish remote, press and hold the tv button until all 4 buttons light up, then release. push either of the power buttons once. Now start pushing the down channel button, It's the one right below select, continue pushing it until tv turns off. When tv goes off push down button one more time then push up button, when tv turns back on stop and press # key, tv light will flash 3 times and should be set. Note....if u press down button and tv does not turn off after going through all codes( tv light will start flashing) press cancel and try again only channel up this time. hope this helps.

HI,TRY THE AUTOCHANNEL SCAN FEATURE,IF USEING A INDOOR AERIAL YOU WILL NOT PICKUP ALL CHANNELS,HOPE THIS HELPS THANKS.

Look for a reset to default feature in the settings of the TV. That should release the unblock feature and should pick up all channels during the scan.
