My computer beeps when I turn it on. I tried unplugging and plugging everything back on, but nothing seems to help. My monitor has power but nothing comes on the screen. When I unplug the cord leading into the cpu, I get a message on my monitor that it's looking for the video. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem with a T2891. I just installed a new power supply (Ever Power HPS-300-202). The old one was definitely fried.

I push the button and get nothing. No power whatsoever.

Also in addition to the above, try reseating the ram chips..take them out individually and plug them back into their respective slots..might be the miracle cure..If the motherboard fan turns on, it might just be bad memory..replace RAM chips

Have you all seen how many e machine have the same problem or very similar problems !?!?

Surely if somehow we could all get together and complain to e~machines together, they would have to do something, right?? It looks to me as though the problems are a manufacturing fault or sloppiness, and that they should do something about it!!!

Emachines have famously bad power supplies, so I would suspect that first. It's also much easier (and cheaper) to replace the power supply than the motherboard, so I'd recommend starting there. I can refer you to a sub-$50 power supply that would work for you if you like.

CD drive wont read on my brand new e627

Hello, Jennifer.

Since you just purchased the emachine two days ago and already there is a problem, I would suggest that you either return the computer to where you purchased (most place have a 7-day return policy) or contact emachines. Here the link to emachine's Customer Care: http://www.emachines.com/support/warranty.html

I suspect that the CD drive is faulty and should be replaced.

Hope this helps.

My 2003 Kia Rio Cinco back hatch latch handle is

We had the same problem.
I took out the bolts outside, then crawled into the back area of the car, and took a screw driver, and slid it along the inner hatch catch, and found the safety latch and released the hatch. Then I took the inside off, and disconnected the handle device from the inside. It was rusted, and broken. I went to Kia, and bought a new one and reinstalled, after greasing the new one up. Took me a while, but they wanted 280.00 in labor, so it was well worth it.
Just be patient and go slow. A good metric socket set will be the best thing, with a regular and phillips screw driver.
Good luck

2003 hyundai tiburon won't start, (key shape light comes on)

The key icon is not the check engine light but the immobilizer light, therefore the car wont start. I have the same issue with my 03 Tiburon after i changed the motor and tranny. It ran fine for a couple of days and the quit.
I took towed the car to a dealership and they stated I needed a new BCM for $1200. However, I got a used BCM from an auto wrecker and will get the dealership to program it for about $200.

Dead motherboard on emachines t2984

I hope that you took it back to them.
Have them check the power supply, too. Besides, a bad power switch and connections that would be the only thing that would be keep it from starting.
