The water that fills the ice maker overfilled one night and leaked water throughout the freezer and onto the floor. Eventually the water going into the freezer shut off. With the ice level too high, the ice maker could not eject the ice and became stuck. After cleaning out the ice from the ice maker, the system does not work. Water will not go into the ice maker.

The waterinlet valve on the back of the unit where the
water supply comes in can have a slow leak and will cause ice to buildup and
block the fill tube. Disconnect the ice maker line from the valve and watch to
see if it has a slow drip. It doesn’t take much to eventually block the fill
tube.
The valve can leak because of sediment in the water
preventing it from closing or low water pressure.
You can thaw out the fill tube and replace the inlet valves.
If it overfills and drips, look for an
adjustment behind the plastic endcover with a +/- on it. - is less water. If it continuously drips, replace the water
inlet valve on the back where the house water supply comes in.
The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice
maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear
it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube
it will freeze diverting the water. You can take the water
line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.
Probably the dual valve (solenoid) the one that opens when the ice maker calls for water is leaking. It's located in the back of the refrigerator at the bottom behind the cover. To be sure this is the problem turn off the ice maker and after a while if is water the valve is leaking ,if not the problem is with the ice maker.

The ice maker has a float or full detection device that shuts the water off when trays are full. If you are sure this is where the water is coming from, then that's it.
