Recover data from my backup

Which operating system and what data do you need to recover ???
You can create a backup disk with Microsoft Windows 7 or any other version of the operating system.
This disk will contain the files, programs and settings that you chose to save during the backup operation.
Yet, this disk does little good for you if you do not know how to retrieve that backup data.
Luckily, Microsoft offers a simple process for restoring this data to your operating system.
Even a basic computer user should have no problem restoring her backed up data from a backup disk.

Insert your Windows 7 installation DVD into your optical drive.
Reboot your computer and press a key to boot from the disk once prompted.
Click "Repair your computer."
Choose the hard drive that contains your copy of Windows 7.

Click "Windows complete PC restore."
The latest backup data will be selected by default. I
n the event you wish to restore earlier backup data, press "restore from a different backup."
Click "Next."
Your computer will now restore the backup data into Microsoft Windows 7.

My windows OS is not genuine. How can I change my operating system without using CD? or free download

Unfortunately if you don't have your CD key, there's no way you can make your Windows XP genuine, without purchasing a new one or installing a valid copy of windows. However, there are operating systems out there that are free to use. Linux is a great operation system capable of nearly anything. Depending on what you are using your PC for now it may be an easy and great switch. Pinguy OS is a variety of Linux designed to be easy to use for any user. All you need to do is download it and install it to a disk. Pop in the disk and restart your computer to install. If you prefer windows, now is a great time to get a genuine copy of Windows XP for a cheaper price now that Windows 7 is available, or you might even consider making the change to Windows 7. It's really a great OS! Hope this was helpful. Here is a link to Pinguy OS: www.pinguyos.com

I need the product key of window xp

The product key is written on the package the CD came in or on the back or side of the computer if it is an OEM disk. Can't find it then call Microsoft and explain the situation. You better have a legit copy and not a pirated copy.

I CAN'T INSTALL A WINDOWS XP SOFTWARE

Thank you for choosing Fixya.com

Yes you can install the Windows XP on P4X266.

Here could be five various steps you can go about.

  • Method 1: Perform a clean install of Windows XP
Use this method for a clean installation of Windows XP. A clean installation removes all data from your hard disk by repartitioning and reformatting your hard disk and reinstalling the operating system and programs to an empty (clean) hard disk.
  • Method 2: Upgrade to Windows XP
Use this method if you are upgrading to Windows XP from Microsoft Windows 98, Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition, or Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional.
  • Method 3: Install Windows XP to a new hard disk
Use this method to install Windows XP to a new hard disk. This is typically done when a new hard disk is installed on your computer.
  • Method 4: Install Windows XP to a new folder (parallel installation)
Use this method to install Windows XP to a new folder (parallel installation) to either run two operating systems, or to access, repair, or retrieve data from a damaged disk.
  • Method 5: Perform a multiple boot operation
Use this method to install Windows XP as a separate operating system on your computer. This lets you install more than one operating system on your computer and select which operating system that you want to use every time that you start your computer.
