thought my keyboard was broken until i looked closely at the keys and
saw that there is blue key descriptions on the keys that match the ones i
put in. I dont know how i turned this mode on and I cant seem to find

Try holding the Fn key, usually blue, while pressing the "num lock" key, which is usually above the 7. This should release the number pad function of the keyboard.
Let me know if this doesn't fix the issue! John Vickers

<li>
Power off the Acer laptop and flip the unit over. Slide the battery release lever over and lift the battery out of the laptop.<br />
</li>
<li>
Turn the laptop back over and open the lid. Look inside the
open area on the keyboard where the key would normally go. Check to see
if the plastic retaining clip is still inside the hole.<br />
</li>
<li>
Locate the plastic retaining clip if it fell off the keyboard
along with the key. Use a pair of tweezers to set the clip back inside
the hole. Line up the holes on the clip with the four raised nodules
inside the keyboard hole.<br />
</li>
<li>
Set the key back onto the plastic clip. Push the key down until it clicks into place.<br />
</li>
<li>
Flip the laptop back over if there are keys that are not
working properly. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the three
screws on the left side of the case that hold the keyboard in place.
Turn the laptop back over so that you can see the LCD screen.<br />
</li>
<li>
Push the thin end of a flat-head screwdriver under the LED
indicator strip above the keyboard. Pop the strip upward and pull it off
the laptop.<br />
</li>
<li>
Lift the keyboard up towards you until the long ribbon cable
running from the bottom of the keyboard to the motherboard comes into
view. Unplug the cable from the port on the motherboard and then pull
the keyboard and its ribbon cable off the case. Spray out the underside
of the keys and the inside of the Acer laptop case with canned air.<br />
</li>
<li>
Reassemble the keyboard, LED indicator strip and battery.<br /></li></ol>
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. <br />

Unless I'm missing something, just put the key back where it belongs. Push down hard, and it'll snap back into its place. If this doesn't work, check the underside of the key. If you see broken plastic, you'll probably have to find a new key. Acer laptops seem to have a problem with keys coming out and breaking (just look at the number of times this question has been asked!)
Press your FN key.
If you look at your Keyboard on a laptop you'll see that certain keys have more than 1 symbol on them.
The FN key brings these secondary symbols to life as live keys and pressing it again will restore original function to the keyboard.
If it not under warranty I would suggest to open the laptop and reseat the Keyboard cable. Also it might just be that the keyboard is simply faulty - as the space bar is close to bv so maybe it was damaged some time ago. The last assumption I would have that liquid has been spilled onto the keyboard - It stuck bv and space together and everytime you type space, the key that are hooked with the dried liquid come down with it.
so it is stuck from dust or something try to remove the cap like button of this key and then try with a tweazer to take out slightly with a light pressure see if it works
1: removing the keyboard: as near as I can tell, at the top of your keyboard is power button etc,.. this cover can be removed. once removed, there are at least 3 screws under it, once those are out there are 2 more on the bottom. NOTE: could be that like on my Compaq and IBM the proper keys on the bottem are denoted by a small etching of a keyboard. It may not be neccesary to remove the keyboard, so if it ain't broke.. don't fix it. 2: Fixing this keyboard is possible IF by stuck you mean they stick but otherwise work. My IBM for example ( used by my kids on occasion ) has had sticky substances dropped onto the keyboard. I simply removed the appropriate keys, cleaned them with alcohol and re-seated them. CAUTION: Pay attention to how they come off so you can put them back on and be careful not to break the plastic connectors. In closing,.. if all else fails and after cleaning and re-seating the keys dont work, buy a new one. They aren't that expensive if you look around. I won't put a website here for an on-line store that carries them,.. but do a google search you'll find several places.
