How old is the battery? It sounds like the battery has died and needs to be replaced. I suppose it is possible there may be corrosion on the connections that need cleaning. If it is new enough you should contact the manufacturer.

Motorola V551 Unable to charge

Make sure that you are inserting the charger perfectly strait into the phone so that both metal connector snap into place, at work we have a data base of different phones (not the V551) but we have the V600/V300/V330 and all have known issues for not taking charge as people do not attach the charger correctly. If this isnt the problem next step would be to try another charger, if you have a friend with a Vxxx series phone all chargers are pretty much the same, if you have had the phone for less then 90 days most carriers will warranty you charger and sometimes the manufacturer will warranty it for 1 year. If its a problem with the phone then the carrier and manufacturer offer 1 year warranty. If there is a cingular store in your area you could also try going there to test your battery in another V551 to narrow down exactly were the problem is.

My iPad 6 won't charge properly in countries with 110 volts but works where it is 240 (where it was originally from...I have bought new cords etc but only charges properly overnight or in the car.

You need a 110v to 240 volt converter
google search
110V to 240V Step Down Up Transformer Voltage Electricity Converter Adapter

or
go to a local apple store and purchase a 110v 12W USB power adapter designed for IPAD 6

DON"T PLUG a 110V usb power adapter into 240V as smoke will come out of it and it will stop working

Running voltage is 12.3v

That ain't enough juice. We'll do some test but you'll need a good DVOM (digital volt ohm meter) and a fully charged battery. So, charge your battery up fully. Then, put the meter's function switch in DC VOLTS, 50 VOLT RANGE connect the red meter lead to the positive post of the battery and the black lead to the negative post of the battery. Start the engine and bring it to a high idle. After about a minute or so, you should read between 14.5 and 15.0 volts. If not, proceed to test the stator output.

Follow the two wires off your regulator down towards the engine until you find the plug that connects the regulator to the alternator in the engine. Unplug the plug and look into the plug that is on the engine side of the plug. There are two connectors in the plug. This is where we're going to test the voltage. Put your meter's function selector switch in AC VOLTS, 50 VOLT RANGE. Put one meter lead into each of the connectors in the plug coming from the engine. In this test, it makes no difference which lead goes where as long as they don't touch each other or the engine case. You're measuring AC voltage here. Bring the engine to a high idle and you should read at least 25 Volts.

If you don't have at least 25 volts coming out of the engine's alternator, the stator is bad. If you do have the 25 coming out of the alternator but not the 14.5 to 15.0 at the battery, your regulator is bad.

Good Luck

I have a HD 2001 ultra clasic not charging have replaced the regulator still no charge. when I turn the key switch the blinker lights flas 6 times can you help me Rick

Just to add to "wd4ity" very comprehensive test. If the battery voltage with the engine running is within the range quoted, Your problem is your battery. Over time the electrolyte or the plates degrade and they go to the great battery shop in the sky(just like all man made things.

Backfire and battery dies

there are fuses to check, and a voltage regulator. Test the fuses, dont just see if they look ok. Wires from the stator to the volt regulator often get very hot if they tarnish or corrode, check them and the connectors for heat damage, clean them or replace them (it is recomended to solder the new end to the wire to get the best performance). the stator output can be measured in volts AC this power reading is done from one to the other to the next until all combinations have been noted on the wires from the stator, not to ground! ( isolate these wires with the engine running around 1500 rpms when reading volts AC.) after the stator comes the v-reg. it's output has been rectified to DC.this is where the battery gets its charge from.If you need more directions just give a shout

My MP3 YP-U3 don´t power up

the battery might be dead. or u might have to take it apart and charge the battery by hand. ive done this before and it workd. i used a usb cord (5 Volts Max) wat ever u do do not charge the battery with anything over 5 volts. the battery inside the mp3 player is 3.7 volts, so be careful. It unplugs from the chip inside and the battery is easy to get out DO AT UR OWN RISK - PARTS ARE SMALL AND CAN BRAKE WHEN HANDLE CARELESSLY all u gotta do is find the seems on the sides and pull the player apart until it cracks open. then pull the connection tabs up for the usb and buttons from the chip, then by the hold button the chip will be guled to a ground, pull it apart and filp over the chip and u will see a lil clear plug with black (-) and red (+) wires on it, un plug it and set everything else aside, all u need is the battery. Now u need to find a old usb cord laying around and cut the end off that doesnt conect to the computer, splice the cord so that the wires are showing, cut them off EXCEPT FOR THE BLACK AND RED, now plug in the cord to a computer, or game console (ex. Xbox 360, Wii, PS2) then forcefuly slide the black wire onto the black (-) prong on the battery plug, same thing with the red one (+)
then let it set for 15 mins. now u have to conect everything back the way it was and snap the player back together and see if it will come on, if not you might have to take it back and get a new one if you have ur receat. i hope this works remember be very careful with the inside componets. Good Luck!

My cell won't charge

I've had similar problem, and found that if I jiggled the charger prong, that it can make a connection. Sometimes, the connection is dusty or just not hitting the receptors in your phone. Hope that helps.
