Hi,

I want to scan photographs using my MP540 & store these images on a USB flash drive. How can I change the settings so that I can scan larger picures than the 4" x 6" (10 x 15cm) default settings.

here some tips to check your canon pixma printer
Solution 1:
  • Move the printhead to the center.
  • Disconnect the printer and check on the right: is the purge unit ok ? No peace of paper ?

Solution 2:
  • Do a reset of the printer:
  • Power on
  • Hold down the "Resume" button (triangle in a circle) for 15 to 20 seconds.

Solution 3:
  • Power off the printer.
  • Open the door.
  • Power on.
  • When the cartridge is in the center, close the door.

Canon pixma MP540 printer: unable to print black ink pages....ok with blue etc.
Have you checked the ink level on the black ink cartridge? It's probably out. Or if it's a new cartridge, make sure the tape covering the connecter has been taken off.
