You select a song first, then you move it to a playlist. It will give you the option to add to existing playlist or to create a new playlist.

Hope this info was helpful to you. Good Luck!

I have a Sony Walkman Atrac AD and cannot make playlists with it. There is the option, but how do i put music on them?

The only way to add playlists on this unit is to use your PC software to create them and then add to the unit later. you cannot create a playlist on the player itself.

you can use any music software to create and add. for instance, If you are using Sonys own Soundstage, follow these instructions:

Click "My Library"

Click "create/edit PLaylist"

Select the tracks you want from content shown on left. ( to select multiple tracks at once, hold CTRL key)

Select the "New Playlist" on right

The new playlist will be created. you can rename it now

click on large arrow pointing left

Now just import this folder to your player

you are done.

Not all tools active in XIVA Producer Tools Program

so, first of all, i hope you read this after a long time ;)
Xiva Producer sucks and doesn't run under windows. Try some playing with the built in vista compatability mode.
You simply can't sync with iTunes. What i'm currently doing, is connecting the xiva to itunes by simply set the itunes map to the network share. Have in mind that you can't add files in the musicshare map. So disable the auto organize future of itunes.

I want to create a playlist on my SanDisk Sanso 250, but cannot figure out how. Can you help?

Sansa MP3 players have 2 modes, MTP and MSC. In order for playlist to show up properly on your player it must be in MTP mode. First, go to settings then USB mode or just mode( depending on the player). then choose MTP. Once it's in this mode, connect to you PC. Open Windows Media Player and go to the library. Right click on the song of your choice then go down to "add to" then click on additional playlist. Type the name of your songs and click ok. Right Click on the next song, click on "add to" then click on the name of you playlist. Continue this until you playlist is complete. Click on the Sync tab at the top and then click on sync settings. make sure "sync device automatically" is checked off. scroll through the large white box and only check off the playlist you want on the player. Click ok and the playlist will start to sync to the player. Once complete, disconnect the player select music then scroll down to playlist and you will see the name of your playlist...
I hope that helps

How do you add a playlist to the player!!!

There is another way but that is called Favorites. First go to settings on the player and enable advance then go to one of your songs and press the select button then it will give you an option that says add to favorites? choose the check mark to add that songs to your playlist. Also there is a way to add playlist using windows media player. The steps given would be for windows media player 10. First click on the Library Tab thecn click on the arrow for the Now Playing List choose New List then Playlist, now add songs to your newly created playlist by dragging them to the drag items here window after you have choosen all the songs you like click on Now Playing List and choose Save Playlist As.. After saving the playlist change the settings of the player to Autodetect and connect the player to the computer. Now wait for it to be detected by the computer and click on SYNC tab on the windows media player software. There are two windows the left is where you will choose the playlist the right your mp3 player. Choose the playlist that you have created and click on START SYNC now it will be transferring the playlist to your mp3 player just go to Music then Playlist. Hope this helps :D
