You are right - there is something to do with calendar. Change the battery in your watch and then there will be enough power to overcome extra force for moving date ring.

it can be--their is no definite life span of a battery because everything has a different draw of power a simple watch can last years while more complex such as date/stop watch /backlight etc will draw and kill battery quicker
More than likely, there are springs that activate the levers for it to chime, or bong, they may have got jammed up, you can open it up, and see if you see anything like that, if not, you will have to take it to your local jewelry store, or watch/clock makers to have them take a look. You never indicated what type of clock (make or model) so I can\'t be certain. Maybe a ships clock? They may want to charge you for a overhaul of the movement, but you can tell them to just "make it work" if it was running fine before (keeping time well) then an overhaul probably isn\'t necessary. It sounds like something may have got jammed. I hope this helps !
send the watch to any of your friend or reletive through fedex or DHL etc and ask them to get it repaired for you. otherwise contact the dealers who sold you the watch and ask them what to do.but theres no such need of going through all this trouble, just get it repaired by a watch repair man i india.
Could be its just not a good quality watch, you didn't state the make. if its an invicta, then tbh, its to be expected they can be very hit and miss. You can buy demagnetizer for about $10, £6-7. Things like speakers, computer monitors or strong electrical field can magnetize a watch making them perform very inconsistently.
check the battery, if it still wont work then try shaking it and see if there is something loss inside if there is, you bought the watch with already a technical problem

They can probably answer your question over the phone or e-mail, if not they certainly could if you could get the watch inspected. Most jewellers would also probably know - sometimes the serial number can be marked inside the watch, but I found no information online about your model that discusses this.
