HTC Hero GPS

try downloading GPS Essentials (free) from the market. It has a tab that shows how many satellites the phone is picking up. that usually is what determines the gps accuracy. also remember that the antenna is at the bottom of the phone. right where your hand holds it. This should not affect it but is good to know.

Htc hero problems

You are very vague with your problems, but I would suggest going to a Sprint store to have them help you setup your new phone. They can step you through starting up, getting your accounts configured, etc.

I want Modem Driver for HTC Hero phone using sprint network

Using the HTC Hero as a USB Modem
In order to use this functionality, the HTC Sync software must be installed onto the PC first (http://blog.brightpointuk.co.uk/synchronise-htc-hero-microsoft-outlook).
The HTC Sync installer is included on the SD card that comes in the Hero sales package, or alternatively is available for download from our FTP site:
ftp://ftpaccess:[email protected]/Technical%20Support...
You can download the software to your PC, or insert the microSD card into a suitable reader to access the software.
Once installed, on the Hero device browse to Settings --> Wireless Controls and enable the option to enable Mobile Network Sharing. Now connect the Hero to the PC via the supplied USB cable. Windows will detect the new hardware automatically and install an "HTC Remote NDIS Network Adapter": Provided that your Hero has a cellular data connection, you will now be able to use that connection from your PC.

I have the htc hero from sprint and would like to

First you have to connect the device to a computer with the delivered usb-cable. Then there will be asked for "ActiveSync" or "Diskdrive" : choose Diskdrive. Then browse to your files and select the music you want. Copy it and paste it into your phone connected to your pc.

Booting Problems and Fatal Errors

i would suggest going to the following website, download the os for your phone and carrier, and running the .exe file. WARNING: this will wipe out all info on the phone and put it in the right-out-of-the-box state. you will also need to install the latest htc sync from the htc website before running the .exe

you may have some corrupted software, and this will revert all the software back to factory.

connect your phone to your computer, but DO NOT mount the sd card. run the ruu .exe and follow the on-screen directions. it should also be able to locate your phone before it proceeds.

.net framework problem

Hi. The downloaded .msi package actually contains a couple of versions of .net (for different kind of processors). If you connect your PDA to your computer (Using ActiveSync for XP or Windows Mobile Device Center for Vista) and run that .msi package, it will automaticly detect your PDA's processor and installs the .net to your device. Hope this helps.
