Hi,

It sounds like the spin basket rear support is loose. The support is part of the spin basket & does not come separately. This type of repair will more than likely need the spin basket replaced & possibly the outer tub also. It will cost you $200-300 to replace the assembly.

check your motor coupling!

if you remove the back console, youll be able to see the "machine controlboard". appro. ha;f way down and favoring the left side of circuit board youll notice a small blue relay cover(MAYBE 3/8"X1/2" in size. well just above that relay cover you see a resistor that will be physically burnt out( a real noticable burn ring around it) if this is the case you need to replace the board as well as the "wax motor" within the latch assy.

Most noises from a washing machine occur during the spin cycle. If you hear loud thumping during the spin, the load of clothes may have become unbalanced. Stop the washer and redistribute the clothes, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.

if still the problem then ,Motor is kicking on and off making that noise....so far for us this has been a motor issue 9.5 times out of 10.

If there's a loud thumping noise during the spin cycle, the load of clothes has probably gotten unbalanced. Open the lid, redistribute the clothes in the washer, then re-start it. Repeat these steps if necessary.
