SOURCE: Freecom Classic SL hard drive stopped working

Probable reason for failure of a disk is power, if the power is adequate may be some of its components like inductor, diodes in series with the power line are opened, check for any burn marks on the pcb

Hi, My computer doesn't support all types of DVDs; I want to install a mediaplayer on a flash disk and run the songs/DVD from a mobile disk. plz let me know how to do it? thanks

Well you just download the install program on the flash drive, then you run the install and run it to that drive and then take it to your computer and just go to that drive and run it, it will access your DVD and run.

Changed video settings

Yes, click "Video" button on the remote several times. It will cycle through the different video outputs and modes and land on the right one. I guess you're seeing a black screen with little dashes floating diagonally across the screen.

Runa Repair in the Philips Device Manager to start over from scratch. Or, manually delete every song using Windows MediaPlayer. Either way.
