No, it means you are being advised to upgrade the firmware in the BT8010 to the latest version to have improved function. It does not mean your BT8010 won't work, it just won't be a versatile as if you did the upgrade. You will need the follow Jabra's instructions how to download the firmware from their internet site and install it,
If price is not an issue and you don't mind the outrageous shipping charge, Jabra sells a pack of 5 from their own website. http://www.buyjabra.com/accessories/earhook-5-pcs-for-bt125-bt135-17.html#
Download control center program and then go to phonebook icon where it will allow you to manually add numbers; then transfer to phone via transfer tab.
you need to charge the head-set fully and then.... disconect it from power supply. hold down the call button until a continus light appears. and then flip out the speaker tusk.... then search for the device on your phone a couple of times.... if you dont find your headset then your phone is not compatible with the head-set....
I called Jabra and they immediately mailed a new earhook to me... I had it in my mailbox in about a week. Everything seems to work a lot better. Chalk one up for great customer relations from Jabra...Not many questions asked other than where to send it.
