Unable to get my sub to work with my Denon AVR 1506 Receiver

I have a Denon AVR 1506 receiver. I thought my subwoofer went out, so I ordered a new one. Somehow I do not get any sound. I've checked the connections, but otherwise do not know what else to troubleshoot.

The sub is a Energy ESW 8

I ended up shutting the system down and reconnecting all of my connections, then resetting to the orignial settings and it worked. Thanks. Now I have a additional sub that I don't know if I should throw away or try and have someone fix.

Did it ever work? Are you certain the sub is getting a signal. It has to be defined. How about the speaker levels adjustment? Did that work? Give us a clue.

Can i hook up two subwoofers to a denon avr 1907

Sure, just get an RCA splitter and share the Sub Pre-Out with the two self-powered subs or one amp powering two of them.

No sub audio denon-1506 receiver

You have to let the Denon know it has a sub or it won't send anything to it.

I can't find the manual but I'm sure you could dig through yours and find the area concerning speaker set up.

Simple question?? how do I connect my Panasonic subwoofer to my denon receiver?

I have a very similar problem with the same exact Panasonic sub. I went to Best Buy and Radio Shack looking for an adapter, and they basically told me that one does not exisit. Apparently, Panasonic designed the home theater system specifcally so that it could not work if any part of the entire system was ever seperated.

Connecting 2 sub woofers to denon 1506 receiver

Most receivers only handle one sub at a time. If you are deadset on connecting two, you might want to consider how much power your receiver will give to each if you split the signal then determine the power of each sub. If the subs aren't the same you can be sure they will sound strange.

If they are identical and your receiver has enough power to handle them both, examine the connection the subs use to connect to the receiver and split the connection by buying a splitter at a local radioshack.

You will probably be better off using the better of the two subs instead of having both connected. Your sound quality will be more balanced and clear when it comes to bass.

why don't you both return these units and call Denon for replacements without these problems?  Sqeaky hinges get the oil.

I have Harman Kardon speakers and subwoofers connected to a Denon AVr 1508 receiver. All my five speakers are working but my subwoofer doesnt work. I m pretty sure I have connected the subwoofer properly...

There is a setting under your speaker setup to turn the subwoofer on. If speakers are set to small it auto matically sets the subwoofer to ON. If the speakers are set to large it turns the subwoofer off but you can manually adjust.
