Music transfer when transfering music from a cd through multi media to mp3 or mp4 player it comes up with formate error can you help please.

MP4 files cannot be played with some MP3 players. Try transferring mp3 format music to the mp3 player.

This player cannot play mp4 files only mp3 files. When the files are copied to the MP3 player the computer can play the mp4 files from the MP3 player but when you play these mp4 files straight from the MP3 Go Gear it cannot see or play these files.

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet toyour computer and then copy them to your MP3 player. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs tomp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and thencopy them to your MP3 player.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player willcreate a MP3 music file for each music track.

I was having the same problem so I called Polaroid customer service. I was told that the PMP150FM-4 will only read mp3 format. I was making the mistake of transferring my music out of my iTunes folders. Since iTunes converts the files to mp4, this player will not recognize them. Most of my music is on cds still so I was told to use Windows Media Player . Once in the program, underneath the RIP button is an arrow for a pull down menu. Go to FORMAT and click "mp3", then rip the cd. Afterwards, you can transfer the files from the Windows Media Player library folder to the player.

Generally you may transfer 3GP video format to your media player to play music. If you using apple ipod then you have to transfer MP4 format to video. MP4 format has excellent video quality .

The Sansa Clip can only recognize certain file formats (mp4 is not one of them). Your best bet is to only download songs that are in mp3 format. iTunes format will not work. Some WMA's will work, but others will not - it all depends on whether the WMA files has a fixed-term license or whether it has a license that allows transfer to portable devices. Songs in mp3 format will never give you trouble.

It is alone to format in FAT32 and later in FAT, and tries to transfer musics again.

Did you purchased those songs from itunes? you got to make sure the songs you are trying to transfer doenst have any DRM licence in it...I believe your device comes with a software that hekps you convert mp3 to mp4...what kind of device do you have?

Just try format the player and reinstall the firmware.
