I have a Haier 7kg a+a front load that keeps saying error 5 throughout the cycle if I just press start it carrys on but then about 10 mins later says it again. It is pretty new but we have recently moved it into the Utility room. What does this mean as I can't find the instuction manual? Would really appreciate your help as I can't actually leave the house when I do a wash I have to wait for it so I can keep pressing start. Thank you in advance Becky

SOURCE: haier washer won't start

1. does machine light up on control board? no. check breaker box or try plugging a lamp into the same outlet to see if it works. for this problem you may need a repair man to look at it.

SOURCE: My Haier HW-C1460TVE-U washing m/c keeps giving (CLrF) ERROR Code

Anyway, my machine shows an error code "clrf". I just spoke to someone at Comet, and apparently this means there is too much foam in the machine. The machine will then refill with water and try to rinse it out, but if after that the machine still has too much foam in, then it will stop the cycle. Hence why my clothes are still wet (although I'd not realised they weren't rinsed properly either!).

I have not been using excessive amounts of washing powder, and usually use powder tablets or the liquid tablet sort, so they are a set amount and I don't do anything daft like stick 6 tablets in! I find it ridiculous that this would cause a problem with the washing machine, as I've used them perfectly fine with other washing machines.

Anyway, the advice from Comet was to keep trying different washing powders until i find one that foams less.

SOURCE: I have a haier hw-

The selector switch is most likely faulty and will have to be replaced. You can get parts, manuals, diagrams and more at partselect . com or daysappliance. I do recommend them. Repairclinic . com isn't bad either.

From my experience your timer has gone bad. You can test it with a voltmeter. If by slight chance the timer is good and has power to it, check the control panel for fault. That can be tested as well with a meter.

Unplug or turn it off at the breaker for 5 minutes.

Simultaneously press and hold Cycle Select and Start pads for 5 seconds.

Press ANY button to complete the reset process. ...

The unit will now be ready to use/function normally at this time.

My washer won't start, it keeps flashing ERR and then the wash-time, and then LOC. My roommate says to fix it before, he held down three buttons, but can't remember which ones. Any idea?

Try the following two buttons: press Options and Select together for 10 seconds (or until the LOC disappears). The pair of buttons held for 10 seconds also sets this control lock.

To find out the error code, turn the Program knob to the start position, Spin Only. Press Start/Pause to start the cycle. Press Cancel to stop the cycle and turn off the LEDs. Press Cancel again and within 5 seconds press and hold the Options and Start/Pause buttons until the LEDs start chasing. Then release the buttons. Turn the Program knob seven clicks clockwise from the Start position. The control will signal the last error code. To clear the error, press and hold Options and Start/Pause for 3 seconds. Then either unplug the washer for 5-8 seconds before plugging it back in. Alternatively, press and hold Options and Start/Pause together for a few seconds until the Wash LEDs appear.

http://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/frigidaire-electrolux/12950-frigidaire-atf6000es1-wont-drain.html has a link to the service manual for the listed washer (the link is half-way down the page).

I hope this helps.

Please help! My samsung 7kg J845 front loader keeps flashing UE on the error code (spin cycle) and I can't open the door. Sarah

Hi, I have the same washing machine and it flashes UE on the error code during spin cycle when I have one thing in there, or if the clothes are uneven. I usually have to wait until the lock light goes out, re-arrange the clothes and continue spin cycle. If it is just one item in there, I usually have to manually wring it out as it will keep saying error if I keep trying to spin.

Dryer runs then stops after short periods (5-10 mins)

THere maybe a thermal limit sensor gone bad. Keeps the dryer from over-heating. Located behind rear panel on most and mounted on the heat tube. Verify with volt/ohm meter if possible

Whirlpool front load washer LHW0050PQ often will not start

Unplug the washer for 10 min. This will reboot the circiut board. Select one cycle. Selecting too many cyles in a short period or pushing too many buttons in a short period can overwelm the little brain in the board.

Error code 7

The error code 7 is in fact a motor error.
The motor that drives the spin cycle has become faulty. The only solution now is to get an engineer in to fix it or get it sent away to get repaired.
