Remote code don't go by model, you get a list of codes and you just try them one at a time until one works, here are the most up to date remote codes for a Zenith TV.here are the three digit codes
101, 142, 149, 177, 241, 345.
remember all universal remotes have code search, so if none of these seem to work do the code search function, it is outlined in the user manual of your remote.

The manufacturer normally has one specific code per model. The range of codes you listed are for the general models of the manufacturer, but there are specific codes...sometimes listed in the manual but usually hard to find. After i posted the question I decided to use another remote, Logitech Harmony 880. With that remote, I connect it to my computer, access the website for the remote, put in the model of the item i want to control. The website requires the model number as it has model specific codes,. If it cannot find the model number it suggests one that is similar or you have to follow a search procedure using the recognized codes for the company. I have two of those remotes and they have found every model i threw at it.so far. The remote then works instantly on the devices without having to scan through codes. Only problem is I have yet to find a way to reveal the code that the software/website found and I don't want to continually use this remote for tv since the tv is located in a seldom used room and those remotes are expensive. I have other decent universal remotes that I want to use. Tried using the suggested codes for zenith to no avail and tried scanning. Maybe the remote I want to use has a Learn feature and can learn from my logitech or maybe I just have to press the scan button another 200 times or so. I'll give both of those a try. Thanks for your quick response.
