I HAVE A MGR4452BDW AND THE OVEN WILL NOT COME ON, THERE IS A GLOW AND THE GAS FILLS THE ROOM
Strange - I have the same model and my oven went on by itself - and caused a fire - Maytag said they will refund me the cost of my stove, and that is all they will do, said I have the stove for 5 years - which I don't understand when I could have lost my entire home due to the fault of the stove. So, if I were you - I would be willing to give that stove back. Better it doesn't turn on then to turn on when no one is home.
Hi
This means a
loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is
bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it
should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the
door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and
should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.
