Use this. Spray it on. Make sure you only keep it on the glass. Wipe it off any metal trim. Cover the top with a sheet of clingfilm, (that stops it drying out). Leave it overnight and in the morning just wipe it with a none scratch sponge, rinse and polish. FYI, you can only damage a ceramic glass top by scratching it with something that is harder.

If the water has been dried up, it was most likely the drip pans. Water is non flammable, sorry i couldn't help myself. If water was the problem there would be sparks and buzzing noises first.
There are some very effective commercial products available. One of the most highly rated is Cerama-Bryte, but BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY....as once it dries it is impossible to remove!!!!! Work in small areas, rub consistently.
As well, mr. clean magic eraser also has worked magic on my mothers stove over the past few years also.
If you wish to stay away from the store-bought chemical....soaking the spots with water and ammonia OR vinegar..(not both) and elbow grease. As well....the razor blade in combo with the liquid.
Be sure to rank me.....please....especially if this Fix-ya`s....
