You need to remove the wire clamp that holds the door seal on to the front of the cabinet, then pull seal off.
This will give you access to the door hinge assy, then you can replace the door complete.
Please rate my solution.
Thankyou.

SOURCE: fitting new belt

Remove top cover and lower rear panel of washer
With some help, tilt washer forward, and fit belt round motor pulley first, slowly ease belt onto drum pulley and feed slowly round, turning pulley at same time, it will be very tight, so watch your fingers, you can align the belt after it is fitted. Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

Thank you gittos73.

It's as gittos says. When you open the door and look inside, at the very top of the door is a white square. This holds the metal clip. If you push the little white dot in the middle of this clamp gently, it gives way and you will see the round metal clip that goes all the way round the door rubber (gasket). Remove this and you can put your fingers round the gasket and pull it toward you.

Then take the lid off the machine and you will see a 6mm nut with a spring behind it and a wire clip similar to the front one, going round the gasket where it attaches to the drum. This has a crosspoint (phillips type) head on it and you can get a small screwdriver into it and undo it all the way. Then slide the gasket off and it will come away.

Fitting it is the reverse but it is a little bit tricky as you have to get the gasket behind the lip to make the seal. Take your time and they will both go round properly.

SOURCE: fitting new belt on hotpoint washing machine

check if plug is loose on motor,in the general area where the belt was changed has anything been disturbed, cables i mean?,sounds like the motor brushes may be worn(this would cause motor to stop),they are situated 180degrees apart at one end of motor, they are easy to change, there is a spot at brushes to put a screwdriver in to remove brushes-hope this helps

My hotpoint washing machine (model wma50) will not start due to the door lock light flashing yet the door is closed

common problem on these machine's, you need a new door handle which comes as a full assembley with spring and all attached.

open the door, using star screw driver remove top and bottom screws along with two near the catch.

the doo wil split enough to remove old handle and fit new 1.

Wma44 hotpoint washer. Did a wash as normal and

Sometimes a weak or broken spring in the door handle can be the cause of the problem, but you would have to take the door apart to check this.
If you have already fitted a new door lock, then chances are it is the control board, but I would check the door handle first.

Hotpoint WMA13 door lock fault

If the door locked light is flashing , then the main board probably has a fault on it, due to a problem with the motor, or the board itself being faulty.
Recommend calling an engineer.
