How can i manage multiple micro sd cards on my sansa c250 MP3 player

I have a sandisk sansa c250 2 GB and 2 micro SD memory cards (1 GB each) that i can insert in the microSD slot.
I use windows mediaplayer to synchronize my music on the 2 GB fixed disk and the micro SD.
My two cards are 75% full.
When I change the card in the slot , I do not have access to the list of music pieces that are in this card. The sansa show me the music that is in the other card. I have to format and synchronize again the micro SD with the same music that was on it.
Is there a better way to manage this.
One other thing : is it possible to make a playlist with songs partly on the fixed disk and partly on the microSD.

How to expand my memory and what type of memory card to buy

It will certainly take a 2GB microSD card.

This link on Sandisk forums tells how to check if you have a version 2 that will take a 4GB.

Where to buy one? My local supermarket has them, or you could check a camera store, or even office supplies. as well as the usual computer or electronics stores.

Installing Micro SD card to Sansa e260R

Hello,

The Sansa e260 Rhapsody (e200R series) supports:
1. micro SD cards ( not the HC type )
2. micro SD cards up to 2 GB of memory capacity

Sandisk Sansa C250 won't recognize 8Gig micro chip

Your model doesn't natively support SD cards over 4GB, however I hear you can install something called "Rockbox," it's a free third party firmware that allows you to dual boot between "Rockbox" and the Sansa firmware. "Rockbox" adds the support you need for SD cards with a capacity of 4GB or more. I've never used this firmware, but it does sound promising.
Download it here
Sorry I couldn't be more help.

When i open the sansa c250 i get an icon that says FIXED SD

The computer is registering that an SD card is inserted into the Sansa. You probably will have to switch the USB Mode or remove the SD card. Here is a link to the user manual that explains this - very helpful:

Sansa mp3 player could not detect micro sd add on card

I believe you can fix it by going on the player, then to settings, then to USB mode, and switching it from MTP to MSC. If you're in MSC already and it fails to recognize, then I don't know. :(

Memory stick not identified.

The memory stick probably is not the right type. The Sansa only takes SD Micro chips. However, IIRC Micro only goes up to 2GB. So, if you have a 4GB chip is must be a SD HC (High Capacity). Unfortunately, these do not work in the Sansa.
