Usually when the watch still works but you cannot make or change any settings and you do not see any reaction or change when you push a button, then it means that one of the buttons is stuck (as if permanently pushed) and the watch will not react to any button until the stuck button is released. Inside the watch there are metal fingers (contact blades) that the buttons actually push, and sometimes one of these finger blades can get stuck even though the button has returned outward. try (with tweasers) to pull on each button to see if it will move outward and allow the watch to start functioning again. If not, then the watch must be opened, and with a fine pin-like probe, each metal finger blade must be tested for proper movement and position. Also, when a battery is replaced, occasionally the housing is not seated correctly when the "movement" is replaced in the housing (if it was removed in the first place), when the cover is back in place, if there is a plastic or metal bezel ring, maybe the ring is not seated correctly. goodluck, Macgivor
