Usually when the watch still works but you cannot make or change any settings and you do not see any reaction or change when you push a button, then it means that one of the buttons is stuck (as if permanently pushed) and the watch will not react to any button until the stuck button is released. Inside the watch there are metal fingers (contact blades) that the buttons actually push, and sometimes one of these finger blades can get stuck even though the button has returned outward. try (with tweasers) to pull on each button to see if it will move outward and allow the watch to start functioning again. If not, then the watch must be opened, and with a fine pin-like probe, each metal finger blade must be tested for proper movement and position. Also, when a battery is replaced, occasionally the housing is not seated correctly when the "movement" is replaced in the housing (if it was removed in the first place), when the cover is back in place, if there is a plastic or metal bezel ring, maybe the ring is not seated correctly. goodluck, Macgivor

Do not know how to turn alarm off on casio g shock watch

I had the same nagging problem on my GSHOCK 2816. The Casio manual was no help at all. What I did to turn my alarm(s)  (mine has 5 independant alarms) off is switch to alarm mode (as you are looking at the face of the watch, it's the bottom left button. I push it twice to get to alarm mode. My display shows the current alarm time, and then the number 1. If you hit the top right button on the watch, it turns this alarm off. If you hit the bottom right button, it cycles to the next alarm in the list. To set an alarm, just cycle to the one you want, and then hold the top-left button until you see it flashing, then use the right side buttons to adjust the time. Hope that helps. This was a big pain in the **** until I figured it out.

Casio Illuminator w-94h

Hold down the "Adjust" button (top left) for three seconds. It won't adjust unless you hold the button down.

Press "Mode" (bottom left) to change what you're adjusting, seconds, hour, minute.

Press the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the number up and down.

Press "Adjust" again when you're done setting the watch.

To change date, alarm, alternate time, etc, press "Mode" to get to those functions before hitting "Adjust."

I hope that helps.

Casio Illuminator

I used the online CASIO web site to locate the appropriate manual and followed directions. Use the bottom left (C) button of the watch to keep pressing between the various modes until I was in the ALARM Mode. Then PRESS the upper right (B) button to toggle the DAILY ALARM and HOURLY CHIME to "OFF", "DAILY", "HOURLY" and "BOTH" on/off.
