click start, click run, type dxdiag, press enter, then click display, disable the 3d acceleration if it is enabled.

well then in this case u can do one thing

press windows key+r

type dxdiag

go to the display tab on the top

chk if direct draw and direct 3d is enabled if not enable them

if they are already enabled hit the test button next to both and check wat it says

To check to see if your 3D accelerator is enabled go into DXDIAG (type DXDIAG in the run or search box),
go to the DISPLAY tab, see if Direct3D Acceleration is ENABLED.
Finally make sure that you have the latest video drivers installed

You might need to update you version of DirectX by going to the microsoft site, or make sure that the 3D accelleration is enable in DXDIAG.
If using XP go to Start>Run (on the right hand side) and type in dxdiag then press enter. When the program opens click on the display tab and check that the 3D accellarator is enabled. Also carry out the tests within the display tab to make sure that there are no other errors. Check the game for the version of DX that it need against the version that you have, your version will be displayed when the dxdiag program opens. I hope this helps

What are the Direct X recommendations for the game? Is your direct X up to date.?

You can check if your graphics card is compatible with 3D graphics by going to Start>run (just on the right below search), and type in dxdiag,

This will bring up your direct X diagnosis program and enable you to run some checks.
Check to see if 3D graphics Accelleration is enabled and then run the video and sound checks to make sure that you are having no problems.

In the run box, type in dxdiag then enter.
Go to the display tab and see if the Direct3D is enabled, if not enable it and also while you are there do the tests.
If you can save the log and copy and paste it here if that doesnt reslove the issue.
