Mistubishi WD-52527 52" LCD Projection TV

Recently, my TV picture has a few blue spots at the very bottom of the picture. The whole picture is still there, but the spots are 1/2 circles across the botom the the viewing sceen and they are blue in color. They appear to be random and we just noticed them about two days ago. Our TV is only about 1 1/2 years old. Does anyone know why these spots appear?

Those are going to be dust spots on the LCD panels internal to the optical engine. i suggest that you take the screen off and take off the panel i nthe middle of the tv with 2 screws in it and there will be an area that has 3 metal fins covering thin orange ribbon cables. the 3 square objects at the end of those ribbon cables will be the LCD panels spray wiht air compressor unitl clean and that should greatly help your problem.

My rear projection TV has color spots in the picture, most noticeable on light color picture

What is the make and model of TV. If it is a Panasonic that has different colored spots such as pink, blue etc. Then you need t6o contact Panasonic as this is a memory reset that they have to perform on the LCD driver board. Other brands of LCD projection sets that have spots that appear all over the screen mostly on white back rounds are almost always dust that has settled on the LCD panels. This requires a technician to clean the LCD panels if possible.

We bought our Hitachi 50" tv in 2004. Recently it had a blue cloud and finally the lamp went out. We replaced it after ordering the part from Hitachi. This has been only a few weeks ago. The blue cloud is...

id guess your set is like a 50v500 or 50v720 its a lcd rear projection
the blue cloud come from a warped lcd plate in the optic engine and would require replacment to correct this problem
if you have a extended warranty you would want to contact them
if not you might contact hitachi consumer affairs and ask them if there would be any assistance with this repair

Devices do not display visual or audio input, just a blue screen.

You need a repairman. These sets have a bunch of small capacitors that fail on these sets. There is more than one board with this problem. Do your homework and find a good reputable repair shop to fix this for you. It's not something the average person can do. Sorry for the news. Not a simple fix. Mistubishi has a problem with capacitors and it's been this way for more than 20 years. It's ALWAYS bad capacitors that cause Mitsubishi's to fail.

Green spots

Good Day;

It sounds like the TV has foreign objects on the tubes, lenses or inner-screen, such as dust or bugs.l Remove screen from the front and observe.

If it were a TV problem the spots would be near the center of the picture.

Good Luck.

Blue spot

the model number KP-51WS510 deosnt use a bulb or lamp. and touching the face of the lamp will not cause color problems in the picture. if your tv is an LCD projection then i would suspect the optical engine as the culprit. to check when you turn the tv off do you still see the blue distortion? if so then you have a bad optical engine.......as long as it is an LCD projection.
