My screen will not display anyting. it is black

Do you see anyting on the screen when you shine a flashlight on it? It could be the inverters or the power supply. They can fail without any outward signs of something being wrong. Check the capacitors for bulges and leaks.

Please connect an external monitor and see if there is display, if there is none, try removing the memory and then put it back again.

IF display appeared in an external monitor then it is your LCD that is faulty and needs to be brought to a Service Center in order to properly identify if its just the cable or the LCD itself that is faulty.

if you cant see anyting on the screen after power on...then i am sorry the motherbaord is out...

there is nothing wrong with your screen, the problem is from the flex that connects your screen to the phone's main board. This flex must have worn out that's why your screen is not displaying any picture.

The problem is common with flip and slide phones. The flex gets worn out as a result of constant opening and close of the flip or slide phone.

I would urge you to replace the flex and I am assuring you that your screen will display picture again. You might also be lucky to find out that the flex is not well fix, that is, it may have loosed contact.

If you cannot change the flex yourself, maybe you should take the phone to a local repairer within your vicinity, so that the flex can be fixed/replaced.

The resolution is done at the PC video output setting, not at the monitor, you should set the PC video resolution to be at monitor native resolution: 1920 X 1200 @60Hz This will give the correct aspect ratio of your display.

One thing to be sure of is that the unit is being supplied with power to the right areas. Try to (safely) trace the circut all the way from line voltage to the area where you want the load, say the heating coil or the display. Follow the wires from inlet to output, and see if any parts are recieving voltage that aren't responding. Also, be sure to check the door switch for ohms. Disconnect the power, and disconnect the door switch from its terminals. Measure with your Ohm meter to see if it opens and closes the circut when pressed. If it doesn't respond either way, then it is your problem.

It sounds like a backlight problem. It could be a problem with the inverter board or backlight itself. When the display "blanks out," can you still see a faint image on the screen -- especially if you look at an angle with some light shining on the screen? It is usually easiest to see changes on the screen - so after Windows boots, press the windows key on the keyboard repeatedly and look at the part of the screen where the start menu would appear. If you can see anyting, then it is definitely a backlight problem.

If it is a backlight problem, you'll need to disassemble the LCD panel to correct it. Correcting it might be as simple as re-seating or re-routing a loose or pinched backlight cable to as complex as replacing the LCD panel and inverter board. There is really no way to tell over the Internet. You'll probably void any applicable warranty by disassembling the panel.

By the way -- watch out, the inverter board can generate lots of voltage and reasonible amounts of current. I've never been shocked by one, but I've been careful.

Is the Displays power light colored "Green" or Amber ??..if its Green then its getting a signal and maybe you have a Bad Display.

First, check the cables to make sure they are intact. If nothing shows up. then boot the PC and use a shine a flashlight on the Monitor to see if you see any text. if you do see text ..then your Backlight is bad. If you dont see anyting you may have a Bad video card.
