My Haier waching machine has a slow spin cycle

It is a front loading washing machine. All parts of the washing cycles work fine, except the spin cycle. It spins, but slowly, not fast enough to be effective as a spin cycle. Replacing the motor and the circuit board had no effect, the problem was exactly the same. The tub spins freely. The door latch works. It was an illuminated light when the door is locked and cannot be opened, and it won't open as long as the light is on. When the spin cycle should be on, the light is illuminated and the door won't open. After you stop the cycle or turn the machine off, you must wait approx 60 seconds before you hear a "click" and the door will open.
Any ideas on why the spin cycle won't get up to speed?

How can I fix the LED monitor so the cycles do not change mid cycle?

It sounds like a control problem. I assume it is electronic, and if so try another control board but be sure you can return it if it does not solve your problem.

Electrolux front load washing machine ew10001 spin cycle slow on "SPIN" setting runs fine through regular wash setting? any ideas?

Hello jamespeattie - Does the washer making a humming noise? If so, either the drain hose may be kinked or the drain in the house is clogged. Once you have confirmed and cleaned the hose and if issue continues contact a professional to move forward accurately. The unit may possibly have a faulty pump or control board.

Everything works but it does not spin

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the issue. Click on the link below for the complete and detailed procedure.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the electrical connections then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Spin cycle

Remove and repair the Spin Switch located under the lid. The body of the switch had come apart somewhat. I removed the Switch by removing two screws. I put some Super Glue in the seams where it was suppose to fasten and held it for a while and remounted the switch and it works fine. I hope this helps. Before working on it be sure to unplug the machine.

If it goes through the complete cycle o.k. except for the slow spin then the motor itself needs to be checked.
