this is a startup error, give sony customer care a call, they replaced mine for free even out of warranty with this error.

Unfortunately, from what I have read, it looks like you should call Sony. This is a hardware failure code and has nothing to do with firmware. Hopefully the system is still under warranty.

the problem should not happen again. but with all equipment with a disc drive, it is possible that the disc drive will fail and need to be replaced.the ps3 is just another computer and there are no garuntees

In other words you PS3 is malfunctioning call Sony and arrange a replacement to be sent, Unfortunately there is no quick fix and any attempt to do so will void your warranty.
