I've used remanufactured cartridges for other brands of copiers, but the first time I've tried to use on the Canon MX700 it rejected and wouldn't print. Error message was u140. Cartridge was refilled by TrueStar from a Canon manufactured cartridge/tank.
Has anyone else been able to get MX700 to accept remanufactured cartridges?
Big issue with remanufacturing is how integritous is the fit of the cartridge, and also the interface. When these are re cut, so to speak, tolerances can stack up, and one thing about Canon, is they are a stickler for tolerances. You may have an issue with the cartridge fitting in the carriage, but not interfacing with the system. Happens sometimes..

Printer reads error code U150 and does not recognize the black ink tank. I have made sure that the tape is off and that the tank is installed properly. It lights up just like the others. As soon as you close the cover the alarm light comes on and it gives the error code.
I am having the same problem, except I am using Canon ink...
same problem U150 with a genuine cannon Cyan cartridge - it worked intially and now won't do anything
it worked great, then it was plugged in at another time and it wouldn't print .there is a new ink cartridge installed and it would not print
