Hi
I have a toshiba satellite pro, which has lost its sound. I bought a soundcard and it worked fine, till I installed a logitec quickcam express camera. My computer then reverted to not recording any internal sounds (I use Total Recorder). This means that I can't re-record any of the tunes I need to, or put them on a CD.
Please could someone help me? Thanks very much.
A puzzled and rather useless non-techhie....
These are steps to setup the Microphone. These are steps to restore the drivers for the Microphone Part (1) Click on 'Start' button. Go to, and click in the (right, pane) Control Panel. Scroll to find, "Ease of Access (or) Speech Recognition Options." Click on, "Replace sound with visual cues." In the See also (Category), click, on Audio Devices and Sound Themes. Click, Recording. Next, click on the Active Microphone. Click 'Configure' to "Set up a microphone" The (Microphone) wizard appear! Select microphone options. Click, Next! Follow the instructions. Part (2) Click 'Properties' change the 'sound' (Level), changing the (Advanced), not recommended! In, the Controller Information (block), click on Properties to 'update' Drivers. Check to see if Device usage: (enable) if not? "Change it." *Note: Click OK to all changes, 'Save' and Apply!, before exiting. Restart Computer!
Try un-installing your quickcam and see if your sound works, if it does then check that your quickcam supports the the laptop your using. If not then try using another recorder programme
