Does it stick when it is trying to despence the ice from the tray? The bracket the slides the ice out of the tray may be broken. If the bracket is just getting stuck it means that your ice is sticking inside the tray due to the teflon coating being worn out. Replace ice maker
If you need assistance on how to install the icemaker or a place to order one please feel free to contact.
Make sure wire loop extending out from the ice maker over the ice bin is pushed down. Up turns the ice maker off.
Without more info, I can't diagnose further.
Stick finger in ice tray where ice freezes. Is there water in there. No, check solenoid valve and water line to ice maker (kinks). Is there ice cubes in ice tray? Is ice maker pushed fully in? All wires to ice maker on back and underneath connected?

If you have water coming to the ice maker, there are only a few more things that might be wrong. Here they are.
Ice maker it's self is turned on.
either a switch or a bar that should be in the down position
2. Freezer has to be 5 degrees or lower for the maker to operate.
3. Heaters not working.
A heater at the bottom of the maker comes on to un-stick the ice from the tray. This is the problem if there is ice in the tray but it will not harvest or drop the ice.
4. Ice maker not plugged into the back wall well enough.
If neither of these are the problem, you need a new ice Maker.
Sounds like you are not getting enough water into the ice maker tray. When the ice ejector removes the ice from the tray, it may be causing the ice to splinter which is the crushing you describe. The problems could be:
* The water inlet valve
* The ice maker water inlet is partially frozen in the freezer section
* There is a problem with the water line (kinked or partially obstructed)
* The timing mechanism for the inlet water valve isn't working correctly
there is a screw in the ice maker unit that can adjust the water level open the ice maker whit cover and you should see it but turn it gently little by little each time...and see how much you getting :) very EZ good luck
the heater on the ice maker has gone bad the easiest way to fix is to replace ice maker.the heater is on the bottom of the maker and heats tray up to harvest ice if it dont the ice will stick. But try taking maker out and cleaning it real good with a light spongee (Scrubee) let it dry then spray some a light coat of pam (or similar) into ice bins and try that ahrd water will eat the coating off the bins
the water valve in the back where the water line conects is not letting the right amout of water pressure up to the ice maker. either valve is bad or if you have a filter it may need changing
