There are two small wires that attach to the motherboard near the RAM memory module. *At least, this is usually where they attach) These two small wires are the web cam and the microphone.
To check on to be sure these two small wires are plugged in:
Open the memory module cover, located on the bottom of the laptop in the middle area. The cover has one screw and when removed, will reveal the small RAM modules. You should see two thin wires, usually black and white, that have small button type clips. Be sure both are securely attached to the motherboard.
If those leads are securely connected, your device manager shows no problems with drivers I have no additional suggestios, I have done research on your laptop and do not find any type of switch or adjustment to turn on the internal microphone. I don't know if you have tried to use an external microphone to see if that works. I also am not certain how long you have had your laptop and if the internal microphone has worked in the past. All I can suggest is that you may have a hardware problem.
I see from your Toshiba documentation that you have a Diagnostic Tool utility (Page 150 of the manual) That may give you some further direction: To use the diagnostic utility do the following:
Click Start, then all programs,
Click Toshiba, Utilities, then PC Diagnostic Tool
OR Click the PC Diagnostic Tool Icon in teh Protect & Fix tab of Toshiba Assist.
Click the Diagnostic Tool Tab
After the Diagnostics Tool Window opens
Check the devices you want to test, each has a check box.
Then click Start Diagnostics.
Please let me know if you find the problem. There are times when hardware does fail. The suggestions I have given above should help you discover if that is your issue.

The microphone is still not working. I found the realtech driver and uploaded it again, but no luck.
