Water hammer: is a loud banging or clanging of the pipes usually occurring when a valve is turned on or off due to loose pipes.

Solution: Anchor the offending pipes to the wall. Buy water hammer arrestors. Also Lower the water pressure with a pressure reducing valve

Moen kitchen valve is too cold in hot position & not hot enough in any position. I have changed all the seals & my hot water supply is hot. I have not replaced the whole cartridge.
My husband is a plumber. he says u have the cartridge in on the wrong side- meaning u have to spin it 180 degrees. hope this helps! if that doesn't work then replace the cartridge.

Look under the sink at the water line. If it has a kink or a loop with a kink in it, the hot water will choke off. Make sure that the valve at the wall is also wide open.
