I can't sync certain apps to my ipod touch. Some apps do go onto my ipod touch and work fine but some dont. One of the ones that dont work are idaft and idaft2. My itunes library is the newest version and my ipod touch software version is 2.2.1.

download the latest version of itunes . after the installation of itunes connect your ipod touch using the usb dongle that comes with it. itunes will try to sync on your ipod touch. now click on itunes store then login using your existing account. if you still dont have an account you need to create one first.

once logged in on itunes store you can now select any apps that you want to download on your ipod touch (free/non free)

on your ipod touch you can also click on the app store icon and download. just make sure you that you are connected to the internet.

Do you have the sync apps box checked in iTunes?

Are you trying to sync apps from a computer which wasn't the one which you set your iPod up on?

Those are the main two problems around this. If it's something different, try downloading apps over wifi.

Not always automatic. You do need to go into the apps tab while in iTunes (looking at the highlighted iPod) and select the apps to sync. As long as the box is checked next to it and you legitimately own the app and it is iPod Touch compatible, it should work without a hitch.

I think it is that you might have to restore your ipod to its original firmware and reinstall the apps. If this doesn't help, call apple and let them fix your itouch. Also these days, anyone that jailbreaks their itouch gets their itouch screwed because apple does not allow jailbreaking.

New software version for ipod touch is 3.1.2 You got it downloaded yet?  Also, apps don't work right if you download them directly onto ipod cause your wi/fi might be unstable and you lose connection and download data temporarily.  Uninstall the apps and re-install on computer and then re-sync back onto ipod. 
You should check if new updated versions are available for your apps.
A lot to think about for such a sleek unassuming pain in the as. digital contraption.

Try removing that app from your iPod, then download it again from the App Store (free re-downloads) or if it is on your computer, simply connect your iPod and upload it back onto your iPod. That always works for me.

same thing happened to me. download a free game/app and then try open a different app. then delete the free one if you dont want it

make sure that your itunes isn't set for manual music managemnet

when it says syncing, try to click the little x next to it on itunes. this will be at the top.
