I cant find 'photo both' on my mac laptop please help?????

I heard macs have photo booths so i looked everywhere on my computer for it. Finally i searched the help menu and its gave me a summary of how photo booth works. It then gave me link to photo booth but when i clicked on it it advised me it could not be opened because is was either not installed or disabled. Is there a cd i have not installed, what should i do????

Photo booth is downloadable from www.apple.com its also on the operating system cd. Someone might have dropped it into the recycle bin on accident.

How do i create a viedo
Go into Photo Booth
Red 4 pictured looking app like the photo attached! If you cannot find it, go to the top right hand corner and search for it.
Now that you have photo booth open, you will need to make sure the green light of you mac camera turns on when the app opens, (running other photographic programs in the background or webcam sites will stop your camera until closed) and out of the bottom row of buttons/options on the app (second picture) you will need to click on the 3rd button on the left, the two separated frames, and once you have done that the red button will turn to a videocamera instead of a normal one, and you can begin recording videos on your mac with special effects, etc. :)

I do not know how to do a snapchat
According to the wikipedia article on snapchat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snapchat) it is only available in iOS and Android. That means that you have to have a iPad, iPhone, or iPod (or an Andriod device) to make it work. It will not work on a Mac Laptop. However, you can take a picture of yourself on a Mac OsX system with Photo Booth which comes with the operating system and is available in your Applicaitons folder.

Are you sure the unit has a camera? If it does did you disable the camera? If not check anyway. If it still doesn't work take to an apple store.

Macs don't have drivers like windows systems do. You could try using the facetime app or photo booth app. If you don't get any response from the webcam it is possible there is a hardware malfunction. You would have to take to a local apple store or contact apple support online.

Hello There, Happens sometimes.
You'll have to update to the latest version of the plugins for Java & Macromedia Player. Only then will it work online in websites.
If you are talking about the main webcam in Photo booth, try restarting, updating, and then it should work.

Insert the Mac OS disc and then do a custom install fo select only the applications. It should allow you to install photo booth again.
