Refrigerator side is freezing food

when the evap ( the coil inside the freezer freezes up it blocks the coil causing no cold air to flow to the fresh food side. . the thermo is ok but the aditive defrost control or the heater or defrost terminator is or has failed .. mm ( you do have a defrost problem .. mm

you need to turn the thermostat up to a 'higher' setting.

might need thermostat replaced. use thermometer at different thermo settings to see if any changes

The damper between fridge and freezer is most likely stuck open.

sounds like a bad thermo sensor.see if the coils are frozen up. you will have to remove the access panel in the back inside the freezer. you can defrost it with a blowdryer

Your thermostat is faulty, pure and simple.
If the thermostat fails to do it's job, your compressor continues to run thus freezing your produce.

fresh food thermister should be checked. also the damper assembly that regulates cold air from freezer to fresh food side.

Yes the refrigerator knob is just a damper between the freezer and the refrigerator. All the heat removal is done in the freezer section. it just dumps air through to the refrigerator. So drop the thermostat down to about 5 and try that. If food is still freezing
drop the thermostat a little more. If food continues to freeze then your thermostat could be bad. Not sensing temp properly and allowing the refrigeration system to run to long.

hi! you already the solution of the food freezing problem.the cause was occurs because the thermostat was not duly calibrated..it recommended for calibration.
